Our mission is to provide specialist fitness and wellbeing training delivered with compassion, care and respect for every member’s journey.

About Anna

With over two and a half decades of experience as a specialist fitness coach, I bring a wealth of knowledge and a deep understanding of the diverse needs of individuals seeking to improve their health and wellbeing. As a woman in midlife and a mother of four grown children—including one with special educational needs—I have lived the realities of balancing personal challenges with the pursuit of lifelong fitness and resilience.

The Fitness Studio is the culmination of my personal and professional journey. I have witnessed the profound, transformative impact that weight training and functional fitness can have on people of all backgrounds and abilities. However, I also recognize the barriers many face—whether it’s the intimidation of traditional gym environments or the concern that their individual needs won’t be understood or accommodated.

Too often, the world of fitness feels unwelcoming or overwhelming. Many people are put off by intimidating gym environments or feel their needs aren’t understood. The Fitness Studio is a warm, inclusive space where people can build strength and confidence in a supportive, like-minded community. Here, experienced coaches who truly “get it” lead sessions that are empowering, effective, and tailored to real life.

Everyone’s journey is their own, but no one should travel alone.

About Peter

Hi I’m Pete- I worked in corporate IT for 35+ years, but now I’m doing something I love – helping people on their fitness journeys. I’m a qualified personal trainer and CrossFit level one coach. I believe older athletes deserve the same level of coaching as anyone else, only the intensity needs to change. As we age we need to work to maintain our fitness, strength, mobility and balance. And have fun whilst doing it

About RACHEL

My name is Rachel Glasgow. I have a degree in primary education with a specialism in physical education. I am a qualified level 2 CrossFit coach and CrossFit Kids coach. I have been coaching children and teens for nine years. I am a mum of three children, each of whom has special educational needs, and this is what drives me to share my passion of teaching and coaching children to be their most happy, healthy and confident self.

About Hannah

Hi I’m Hannah Juliano and I am a qualified Yoga Teacher with over 10 years of teaching experience within my local community, leading classes for all levels , including teenagers and seniors.

Classes blend traditional yoga poses with breath work and calming relaxation techniques.
Yoga is for every body, regardless of ability, flexibility, age or gender. It is a practise that offers both physical and mental wellbeing and is a wonderful compliment to the Functional Fitness training at The Fitness Studio.

About KATE

I first discovered weight based exercise in 2016, after a life-changing accident landed me in the hospital for a month with multiple broken bones. It was functional fitness that helped me rebuild—literally—from the ground up. Fast forward to 2024, when I was diagnosed with a heart condition and faced several cardiac procedures, and once again, functional fitness became my path to recovery.

Having experienced firsthand how powerful and transformative this kind of training can be—both physically and mentally—I felt called to take my Level 2 coaching qualification in 2024. I knew it was time to start giving back and helping others overcome their own challenges.

My daughter, who has special needs, has also thrived through functional fitness. Watching the way it’s empowered her, just as it did for me, lit a fire in me. I’m now passionate about opening doors for teens and individuals who think fitness isn’t for them—showing them that not only is it possible, but it can be life-changing.
