Thinking About You week – Questions to ask yourself
The aim of this exercise is to get you thinking about what is important to you without considering where the people around you fit in. ie what you like, want and need just for yourself.
Start by asking yourself a few really open questions and seeing where they lead your thoughts.
- What do I want?
- What do I need?
- What do I like?
It can be hard to think in this way if you are in the habit of making decisions based on what the people around you want, need and like, so practice a bit.
Try some more specific questions….
- Who do I want to see?
- What do I enjoy?
- Where do I want to go?
- What do I miss?
- What and who make me feel happy?
- What do I love doing – just because I love it?
- What makes my heart sing?
- What & who makes me laugh?
If there’s anything we’ve missed go off at a tangent – this is all about you identifying what you want and need.
Now can you identify three favourites? These need to be things that don’t need a huge amount of time, finances or planning because we are going to ask you to arrange them soon.
I hope the questions got you thinking about yourself.
